Back on Tour!

It's been a quiet year on the "news" front because I've been holed up at home in Seattle making a new record and focusing on my personal life, but I'm excited to announce that I'm getting back in the world and out on the road! I'll play a band show this Friday in Seattle, at my home venue, Tractor Tavern (as a part of the fabulous Macefield Music Festival!). And then next month I'll hit the road opening for the talented the Felice Brothers. See below and on the TOUR page for details. Hope to see you around the bend!

New Video in the Wall Street Journal!

Remember that terrifying article about "The Really Big One" in the New Yorker? Well, it inspired some art-making, in the form of an "apocalyptic love story" video for my new single "Stay With Me Tonight (feat. The Spectacles)." The Wall Street Journal has the full story and the premiere right HERE

The Little Song That Could...

Many of you already know the story behind my song & album (of the same name) "Burn the Boats." Over the past few years the song has become a bit of an anthem at my live shows, but the album was already tracked when I wrote it, so only a little snippet made it on the record (in the form of an outro). The full song has never been released in recorded form, UNTIL NOW!!!

I'm happy to announce that I've joined forces with the fine folks at London Tone Music to record & release a full-length/full-band version of "Burn the Boats," as a part of their 52x52 project, and it's available on iTunes starting TODAY! The wonderful Jonathan Plum produced and helped me to completely re-imagine the song arrangement. My hope is that even those of you who have heard it many times will hear new life in this version.

Enjoy!

The "2014 Polar Vortex Tour": Get Bundled!

In case you haven't heard, a polar vortex moved in last week and temperatures around the globe have dropped to EXTREME and unprecedented lows. I am feeling just adventuresome enough to hop in a car, along with a talented songwriter named Aaron Lee Tasjan, and drive around ULTRA-cold Midwestern and Southern states to play my songs. Hence, I present to you the aptly named: 2014 POLAR VORTEX TOUR. Come warm us up with your presence and we will sing real pretty in return!

WE ARE SO HONORED to be a part of the 2013 Seattle Musicians for Children’s Hospital (SMooCH) sponsored by KEXP and Sub Pop. On Saturday, December 14th, a stellar lineup of northwest acts will again donate performances to raise funds for Seattle Children’s with a special concert and auction at Showbox at the Market.

  • Shelby Earl
  • The Lonely Forest
  • The Helio Sequence
  • Allen Stone
  • AND JUST ANNOUNCED: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis!!!
  • The event is now officially SOLD OUT, but those who can’t attend and still want to support the cause are encouraged to make a donation at Seattle Children’s instead of buying tickets.

What an AMAZING way to end the year!
